A small feline space warrior crash-lands on an unknown planet, beautiful yet dangerous. Left to fend for himself among hostile alien creatures (carnivorous plants, swarm of alien bees), he must make his way across this strange world in an extended, visually stunning chase sequence.

For BIFSC 2026 (Berlin International Film Scoring and Sound Design Competition), the film serves as the basis for new music and sound design created by the competition's participants.

The film opens with the opening titles playing over crude, chalk-like drawings, evoking storytelling as an ancient and universal human impulse. A narrator recounts an ancient myth: a race of water-dwelling beings called "narfs," depicted in these primitive drawings, who try to warn mankind of coming dangers — though humans have forgotten how to listen. The tribal-style artwork sets up the film's central mythology before the story shifts to a present-day apartment complex

Sam, a child living in the forest, harbors a fiery spirit within, which they only let loose in the safety of a hidden cave. One day the fire spirit breaks free and becomes a mirror version of Sam, forcing them to chase it down before it sets the whole forest ablaze, cornering it at last at the edge of a lake. The story is about radical self-acceptance, discovering and learning to embrace a new, and the difficulty to accept a part of yourself.
